  1. The spigot has developed a crack and whilst I've contained the coolant leak for the moment I need to source a replacement expansion tank. Where would be the best place to buy from without being ripped off? Also, is this something that's easily fitted or best to take to a Jag specialist?

My STR isn't at my place at the moment as I left it at a friend's house last night whilst I'm going to be away over the festive season (neighbours below are going to be throwing a Christmas shindig and I don't trust them nor the kind of friends they'd attract). I forgot to measure the boot dimensions, which I needed to place an order for some lining to lie in the boot, including the side walls. Would really appreciate it if a fellow owner could take out the trusty tape measure and measure front to back and left to right at the base and then same again, including front, back, left and right sidewalls of boot cavity. Thanks in advance.

  4. I'm looking to get audio from smartphone / DAP into my 2006 STR. Are ACM's still available and is fitting simple or are there decent alternatives that deliver good sound - I'm not keen on a FM transmitter, been there, never going back.

Yesterday I drive from London to Weybridge/ Cobham/ Oxshott & Leatherhead to show a friend the area and whilst driving less than 10mph in Leatherhead my 2006 52,000 mile S-Type R suddenly emitted billows of what looked like steam from under the hood on the left side of the car and the console reported coolant as low, albeit engine temp was normal. Stopped the car, it was clear there was a lot of heat under the hood. Opened the coolant housing, not at max, but not low either, an no pressure from heat buildup. When restarted the red supercharger light remains on. Abandoned vehicle and caught a train back to London. A few questions if I may: based on symptoms described, what are thoughts re what's transpired given the vehicle is in Leatherhead, where would you recommend I have it taken to, to be seen to Thanks in advance for the help folks.
