  1. I Have a jaguar 2ltr 2006 SE manual. and have used nothing else but Tesco diesel for the last 4 yrs, I average 44mls urban, and 59 long distance, so I don't know what all the problems are, I am quite happy with my lot, and I am not a slow driver. recon its the boffins jibber jab again, just get it serviced annually and look after it and it will serve you well.
  2. Thanks for the reply guys but it looks like we are stuck this one.Steady away Noel.
  3. I own a 56 2.0 D SE, its the best motor I`ve had in years, apart from one thing, every time I go to fill up with Diesel the pumps keep stopping, and it takes ages to top up. l have tried all the usual things like moving the neck of the filler in and out, and into every point of the circumference of the filler spout. with out any success.( Life gets tedious don`t it ) Anyone else suffered this problem, Any help gratefully obliged. Noel :(
  4. Not quite sure, I would say about 750 to 1000 RPMs, but like you 1800 sounds to high.I have a 2Ltr diesel SE and it idles at 750 to 800 RPMs, sounds good, runs good, and getting around about 44mpg urban. check it out, good luck Noel.

  6. I seam to have a problem with filling up at the Pumps, Filler gun keeps switching off allthough moving the nozzle around to different positions. this only happens with my Jaguar Xtype, at most pumps I use. And yet whilst using my other car which is a Jeep this never happens , So is it the Jag or the pumps, Any Idears Welcome. Noel.
