  2. hi to every one i own 1994 xj40 3.2 sport and 2009 xf 3.0s
  3. Nearly every time I indicate to go right, my full beem also comes on and is a nightmare to turn off. Any ideas how to resolve this issue?
  4. Hi Frank I suggest you really need to get the fault codes read / read them yourself (OBD scanners are available for around £20). Without that you are simply going to be trying to solve the problem without actually knowing what the problem is. Good luck John
  5. Thank you, great suggestion and I will certainly keep that link for future problems. Unfortunately they currently only have passenger side. I have found Jaguar have a classic parts section and hopefully I have bought the right part from there. I will probably have to paint it but at least it should fit.

  7. Just as most others are saying that independent Jaguar specialists are great. Mine does a far better job than I have got before from main dealers and I usually pay around £300 for a major service. No frills just great work.

  9. Thanks, I know its not the tyres as said, I have moved them around. I guess the drive shaft could be a good place to start. Don't have the tools but this gives me something to go to the mechanic with!
  10. Hi, Having a mare of a time with my 2011 XF 3.0D V6 Facelift Model I've got my XF on a ramp in a garage (Garage unable to source any) and can't seem to get a correct set of all 4 Flexible hoses, No stock anywhere. Main Dealer states Brake Hoses on 'Back Order' but have no idea of a due date. I've been supplied the incorrect parts from a couple of different sources as they have assured me they are the ones for my car, but still no joy. Has anybody here had any luck finding or sourcing the four Hoses from the Body to the Calipers.
  11. I would be interested to meet as well. Steve
  12. Hi Charlotte, I am not overly familiar with the X-type but from a general knowledge perspective, practically all of the "modules" in a modern Jaguar need to be programmed to the car. This can be achieved, I believe, using the Jaguar or Auto Logic diagnostic equipment. Not sure it is something the home mechanic can readily achieve though. You say you have already tried lots of fixes, but have you tried a new battery in the car? Again, modern Jaguars rely very heavily on a good battery and it would amaze you how many, apparently random and unrelated faults are thrown up by a failing battery, which can still start the vehicle, but have voltage spikes that upsets the electronics. I recommend that the battery be considered a consumable and changed when it gets to 5 years old. As given, the ability to start the car is no longer the best measure of the battery's health. N6 JMX
  13. Hi All. Ive got a 61 plate XF S Portfolio. The car is registering someone in the passenger seats when it’s empty. If you put the seatbelt in it’s fine. Sometimes if you push on the base of the seat, the light will go out. Would this be a faulty seat occupancy sensor? Thanks james
  14. I have an XF 3.0D V6 S for sale in White/Black alloys 2028 (68) 2 owners Ive had it since 650 mikes now 57000 miles just had full service and all alloys refurbished. Superb condition. A really great car drives brilliantly has all the bells and whistles. Have it advertised at £16,750 but would take £16,000 for it from a jaguar owners club member. Please message me if interested and I can send images.
  15. Auto reserve jaguar are really good and have good prices. I recently got a rear light cluster/led for (175 including vat and postage from them.
  16. Hello to all and thanks for letting me join.
  17. Hi Shaun, if you send me an email to: scotland.ambassador@jecregions.org.uk then I will email it on to you. N6 JMX
  18. Unfortunately you do not have a ”service connection” to enable remote movement of the seat and there is no way to manually move them. You will therefore have to remove it and then apply 12v to the motor in order to move it. Assuming of course the motor has not been damaged by the water.
  19. Could be the solenoid Steve. Are you hearing a click? Took the starter off mine and annoyingly it worked perfectly on the bench. Been fine ever since.
  20. Hi Steve - All the best + Welcome to the club
  21. Further to the post above, the type of Ducks Bill used in the New XK changed during 2009, with the c/o being at VIN B34500, so cars in 2009 could still have the older, easily blocked version. In the photo below, the older / original version is at the top and the new / improved version is at the bottom. N6 JMX

  23. Hi Martin, effectively yes. The system will effectively remain at the last available update point. Any changes on the roads driven will not he held in the system. N6 JMX
  24. Bought for my now departed XK8, I have a car cover for sale. Not specifically tailored for the XK8, would fit XJS and F-Type equally well (or even an Aston or Maserati...). Very good undamaged condition. £75 ono. Collection preferred (Hampshire).
  25. Hi I'm only guessing here, if the oil level is OK and the light comes on have you checked your oil filter.
