Don't forget you can keep up to date with things as we go by this thread, or any of the four threads we currently have running, by
following us on Twitter @JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet, or if you cant access either you can always just drop me a line at
JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk if you like..

Lot's already going on, more to come.. and if you are not already signed up you are risking missing a great Jaguar seaside event - Why not sign up now? The event is Free, and your only costs on the day are breakfast (from 99p children/from £2.99 adults) and parking which is £10 for the morning..

Watch this space for all the news as it happens..

The next Bi-Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet will be happening on 24th May 2015 - Just FIVE weeks away now! This meet will be our fourth one, and we will have been running this event for two years now!

This Spring/Summer event is Jaguar exclusive, but if you have a car of another marque don't worry - the Winter event will again be open to all marques with a warm Jaguar welcome for everyone.

For those who don't know, the event comprises of two components - an initial meet at Pease Pottage Services with Welcome packs
and goodie bags handed out, and a convoy at a steady 65mph down to the main meet and event in Madiera Drive, Brighton. The distance is approx 24 miles on major roads which should ensure all attendees can manage it without issue.

At the main meet in Brighton we have breakfasts (from £2.99), photo shoots, socialising, industry attendees there to answer all those questions you have never managed to get answered, a FREE prize draw for some SNG Barratt goodies, and more - and all with the backdrop of the Victorian promenades, and everything a family could possibly want on a day out with the Pier, the beaches, the sea gently rolling in, the Proms, and a huge local shopping centre.

This year we are sandwiched in the middle of a month of MG, Mini, and Classic Car Meet days so I am sure our meet will raise a lot of interest... esp with one or two brand new showroom XE's there, literally *just* delivered to Harwoods Brighton, hopefully in attendance on the day!!

We are already listed as an official event with Brighton & Hove, & East Sussex Councils - and I am working on trying to get further advertising and newspaper coverage in place if I can,,

If you would like to attend this convoy and meet ( a guaranteed great day out for you, your family and your car) please put your name forward and I will be happy to add you in.

You can put a post up on this thread if you wish to attend, or you can email me at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk - either way I will happily add you in.. as usual I need to know if you wish to attend just the main meet, or the meet and the convoy, your car and year, and how many people will likely be travelling in the car..

We even have a NEW live Twitter feed for our event @JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet - why not follow our updates, news and info as we go there?

The itinerary, parking, & breakfast costs are all listed in this thread, so there are no surprises for those of us on a budget - but the event itself as such is FREE and will remain so.

Should you be without your car for any reason on the day please contact anyone below listed as having free seats - we look after our own and would still love you to be able to come!

If you haven't been before and would like to check up on some of our recent Bi-Annual Convoy and Meet events please have a
look here: UK South East Meet December 2014 in Brighton or UK South East Meet Spring/Summer 2014 in Brighton

Just a brief update and invitation to sign up and come along :-)

The first items for the Welcome Packs have arrived, with more items due to arrive over the next few weeks, the majority of the meet info ie. itinerary, dashboard meet ID sheets, details of our next meet, and breakfast menu sheets are done (just the last few to produce), the prize draw tickets have yet to be printed up though..

We currently have 51 cars spanning 1968 through to 2014 coming on the day,

Harwoods Jaguar Brighton bringing along the brand new Jaguar baby - The XE,

Harwoods and The Automatic Gearbox Centre will be in attendance to answer all your buying, servicing and maintenance questions,

We have free Welcome Packs containing your meet info and a range of goodies and car industry information.

A convoy component, making you part of a huge visual spectacle as we all arrive in Madiera Drive at the same time, occupying a swathe of the seafront parking.

Breakfasts from 99p for children and £2.99 for adults

Free prize draw for SNG Barratt goodies you will love

Possibly a pay per ticket prize draw for a Jaguar UK prize

Tony from Harwoods will be taking test drive bookings for the XE giving you the opportunity to be amongst the first to drive Jaguars new baby

On top of all this you get to meet all the people you know online, to have a good chat over a meal, check out the huge range of cars attending, and just have a great day..

And even on top of this all you have photo-shoots for the forum threads, fresh fish and chips, Brighton Pier, the huge city shopping centre with everything from major high street names through to little specialist shops in The Lanes and more..

If you haven't signed up yet for this great Jaguar day out then you may end up missing out on a fantastic FREE family day out..

Still no sign of newspaper coverage of our event, despite the backdrop we will have, and the quality and range of cars attending, so I am doing the newspaper rounds again today - if I have any success I will let you know :-)

Grin.. Thankyou :-) With every meet I learn a little more, and with each thing I learn the next event gets that much bigger and better..

Decembers meet preparations are already quietly running in the background here too believe it or not lol :-)

I am determined to try to make this bi-annual event a permanent calendar entry if I can..

I have had fantastic support from everyone in doing so - members making sure there's no pictures of just me, my baby Jag and tumbleweed at the meets, businesses and industry contacts happy to help promote our event and support us with great offers, freebies and discounts and more..

I just hope everyone has a good time at these meets, and feels encouraged to come to the next one, as there is *always* a next one with this event :-)

All the best

Steve

Incidentally I haven't quite given up on the additional possible industry attendee & am hoping for an update on their availability by
Monday.

If they are up for it it will be great with three companies attending covering everything from sales to servicing, to maintenance, and repairs making your visit to the meet even more productive for you with hopefully all your questions answered :-)

Hi Paul,

I will add you both to the list - it looks like it is going to be a great day, quite a bit going on and I am still trying to get a last few things into place as I go .. I know your F-Type is a 2013 model, but for the list if you could let me know they year of the XK I would be grateful.

I very much look forward to meeting you both on the day..

All the best

The next Bi-Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet will be happening on 24th May 2015 - Just over FOUR weeks away now! This meet will be our fourth one, and we will have been running this event for two years now!
