s-type 2.5 sport auto 2003, is she one of the 200 sports?

HI Guy's, i stumbled across a newer upgrade to my old s-type 3.0 V6 SE auto on a 200/X, and i stumbled upon a stunning ( in my eye's these car's are ) 2003 2.5 V6 auto sport, in "Quartz" Grey?, i had not seen one in this colour before, completely de-chromed with a 2.5 lump in her, with the revised updated facelifted interior, and i just could not leave her there,

anyway i have been running around in her now for about four months, and have had the usual new coil packs, sparks done, new o2 sensor, ( front, passenger side), was inevitable at some point, it was at this point whilst waiting for " LIZ" to be done, at my local independent jag specialist and i was reading an old s-type review, and it said that the 2.5 auto sport manufactured in 2003 was of the limited edition, and sported auto lights, and the revised console when it was facelifted, and only 200 were made,

and this got me thinking

i apologise for such an indepth thread, but i just had to get to the bottom of this

how do i find out if this car is one of the sport 200 that were made, or if its not, i have exhausted every forum possible, thread, topic, search and even endured BS from a wikipedia review, and i just cant get to the bottom of it

when i brought the car, i noticed there was a badge missing, on the boot panel, on the drivers side, and the previous owner said some delightful little so and so had half inched it, i found an article about a similar conundrum, but the author did not post any pictures of the badge so i do not actually know what im looking for,

if this helps, as i said, she is quartz grey with 20 inch sabre, ( might me 19 ), alloys of what i think possible an xjr, however i still have not seen the same alloys fitted live to a jag, my local jag man has confirmed they are Jaguar spec sabre alloys, it is on a 2003 registration, but with the updated interior, not the horrible u shape console that was in my 2000 SE, auto head lights, it has been de chromed and de- reflected, those horrible orange reflectors have gone, it has the updated Jaguar spec mesh grille, colour coded with the jag badge at the top of the grille, green instrument dials, black leather steering wheel with no controls for cruise and audio etc, with a green Jaguar emblem in the middle of the wheel, also matching the centre caps in the alloys, bluetooth which i am not entirely sure is factory or not, even though i have seen the same system in many other s-types, and the old fashioned push to call navigation system,

that is all i can think on it that stands out to me from other " sport Models " i have seen,

so if anybody can think of any thing that i am missing, or have got wrong, then i apologise, i am not an expert, i just have jaguar running through my blood,

as i said i have researched to my fingers going purple and can not find an answer anywhere, or any support to enquire to the validation,

she is a stunning car, and turns heads everywhere, i love her to bits, she is booked in for new rear discs, pads, and abs sensor next week, and i have invested the time and love ( money doesnt come into it with these babys) needed that the previous owner lacked, to get her up to the condition she should be in for her age and beauty, and if she is as rare as i hope then, i will be elated, but if she is not, i still have the privilege of owning her

thanks for reading guys, your time is appreciated

regards

Steve

Steve,

It looks a cracking motor. I won't show the wife as she says the last Jag that looked like a Jag was the "S" type, that's why she pestered me to get rid of the XJ Supersport .

I do tend to agree to a certain extent, I don't like the look of the New XJ, XF, or even the XE very much , although I do like the look of my XKR.

did you mention a woman that likes car's? let alone, jaguars?, i talk car to my wife all the time, and she responds in broken renault,

XJ supersport? do not see many of them left now

so any idea's if my Liz is one of the 200 sports that were made, im only thinking she is as she was made after may 2003, and as i mentioned above, with the missing mystery badge,

Steve,

She doesn't particularly like them, she just likes buying them .

Soon as we get one, she wants something different .

She loved the XJ Supersport which we got after the garage mangled my Aston for about ten minutes, then decided she wanted something else, she chose the XKR , but now wants something else .

The XJ Supersport.

The XKR I have now .

But I think I'll trade the wife in for this model when I see her tomorrow .
