Are there any Jaguar owners/lovers who would be interested in a 'Meet-Up' and a run!

I understand that elsewhere in the Country these do Happen but I can find No Mention of them Down Here in the Beautiful South West.

Hi Colin, good luck with organising a meet in the beautiful South West. I have also posted an option for a meet in South Wales details as follows;

Must say I would very much like a meet to see the guys that are communicating very often through the forum. Two years ago I arranged a meet in Swansea for the Mercedes SL club. All arrived on the Friday evening and we stayed in the Village Hotel which you will know Phillip down by the Marina and we had dinner together. I planned a route drive for the Saturday taking in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons stopping off in my local for a light lunch. We again all had dinner together in the Village Hotel at a decent rate on the Saturday evening and said our goodbye's on the Sunday morning. Everybody expressed how much they enjoyed themselves especially on the roads I took them on for which Clarkson and Hammond performed their Top Gear test drives. I would be more than happy to do exactly the same for the Jaguar owners club should the members want me to do so. Come on guys give me a list of names?

So far:

1. Peter (Old Peter
2. Ken (KEN33Y)
3. Phillip (Reverend)

4. guardian (Ron)

Welcome to the club, Sean.

I was in Plymouth on the Tuesday before last.  I brought rain with me.

It is too far away for me to organise a meet, but all it needs is a local member to find a good venue and advertise it on the Club Forums.

Regards,

Peter.

I'm in Launceston. There's a good café at Kitt Hill. It's pretty much an equal distance from Sean, Terry and me.

An Olympic breakfast (I think it's called that because once every four years is enough) and then a cruise/hoon across the moor to Moretonhampstead for some of the best pork pie in existence sounds like fun to me. Yes I think with my stomach.

Are you going to volunteer to set up a meet and cruise?

I think so. It can't be that complicated, can it?

I'm up for it too. I'm not sure if I show up on here but I did register a couple of days ago - fingers crossed. I am based in Devon

Yes you're visible. Where in Devon are you to?

I don't know how many members are down this way but I suggest we leave organising something for couple of days so more people can see this thread and chip in. Then we can find out where everyone who's interested is and settle on a location. After that we could talk dates.

Or a mini meeting would be cool. What do you think Shaun, Terry and Paul?

I sort of know a chap round town with an S-type and a mate if mine's Dad (who I've never met) has one so I could try and rope them in.

Hi Ralph,

It is not too difficult.  What you nee to do is Title the Meet on a post which you can pin and start a list, which you can update when you get those interest.

Put on the date and the postcode/address of the where the meet will take place and make sure, if a venue such as a cafe or a pub, that you tell the owner/manager that you would like a dozen or so respectable people to visit with their Jaguars on the date.

You could propose a tentative date to start with and then take it from there.

Good luck

Regards,

Peter.
