Sooo.. if you haven't signed up yet this is your very, very last chance to sign up to our biggest ever Brighton Convoy & Meet event drop a post on here, tweet us, or email us your Jaguar model, year, and how many will be travelling in it on the day - and I look forward to meeting you on the day :-)

Welcome to the 2016 Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet

This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - with the main venue being Madeira Drive on the Brighton seafront as usual.

It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event! This year I have been working on gaining much more industry support than previously, more prizes, freebies, discounts, even specialists on site to chat to.. hopefully ensuring that everyone has a fantastic Jaguar day to remember!

The initial meeting point will be Pease Pottage Services, with an indoor area set aside for us and 20% discount on anything from Costa (remember to say you are with the JaguarForums.com event to get your discount) to help get your day started.

The Welcome Packs will be handed out at this point, and the main features of the day covered.

There will then be a convoy down to the Brighton seafront, creating a huge Jaguar statement with up to 100 cars, all setting up camp in one huge parking block in Madiera Drive.

There will be a fixed price breakfast laid on for attendees on arrival in Brighton, at a cost of £4.99 for the recommended (two of everything :-)) breakfast, plus drinks at individual prices or £2.60 for unlimited drinks. We are booked in the Harvester in Madeira Drive - remember to say you are with the JaguarForums.com event when ordering.

The only other cost for the day is the parking which is set to be £3.20 for one hour, £6.00 for 2 hours, £11.00 for 4 hours or £16.00 for 11 hours.

CaptainHam has suggested setting up & using the pay by phone parking app on your phone prior to the day (saves fishing around in pockets for change, or in this case, notes)

Our itinerary for the day is:

07:45 Sharp
Meet at Pease Pottage Services for Welcome Packs and a quick rundown of the day. remember we have an indoor area set saside for us and to get your 20% discount on Costa products by saying you are with the JaguarForums.com event!

08:20 Depart in convoy from Pease Pottage Services for Madeira Drive, Brighton

09:00-10:00 We are booked into the Madeira Harvester for breakfast - they recommend the two of everything for £4.99 plus drinks - remember to state you are with the JaguarForums.com event as they are setting an area aside for us.

10:00 -12:30 General socialising, car inspections, & meet the industry specialists we have onsite.

12:30 Group signing of event banner and photo shoots for the forums, Twitter and Facebook.

12:45 Main prize draw, drawn by Tony from Harwoods Jaguar

12:55 Secondary draw of some specialist items, drawn by the RevsUK team.

Hi Steve,

Nice one and may I say well done to organise such an event, so much work has just got to have been put in to make this what looks to be a fantastic day. It will be my first ever jag meet and both the wife and I are really looking forward to the weekend. Thinks I may end up using plan B involving metal of the realm in these new fangled armless bandits  that don't pay out when you win :-).

Cheers and hope to see you during the day.

Regards,

Andy

13:00 Rowan & Tony will announce the winner of 'Best Turned Out Jaguar'

Plus, if you want to make a weekend of it, we have teamed up with HolidayInn Express in Crawley and have a fixed discounted rate of £54 a night for attendees, plus guaranteed availability of rooms for us :-) please see their details below, or follow this link HolidayInn Express Crawley.

13:00 Rowan & Tony will announce the winner of 'Best Turned Out Jaguar'

Everything that I am expecting in for our event has now arrived and I am happy to tell you that the prize draw ticket in your Welcome Pack may be your ticket to family tickets to Goodwood Revival donated by Harwoods Jaguar, a Nextbase 212 Dash Cam, Vouchers from SNG Barratt & Rimmer Bros, Scratchshield complete bucket systems, and filter systems for your own buckets, a Leathercare Kit donated by Furniture Clinic, workshop manuals for X-Type, XJ6 and Daimler donated by Haynes Manuals, and even mugs donated by Rimmer Bros for those important mugs of tea whilst working on your Jaguar.

Should you complete your dashboard sheet, and place it on your dashboard in Brighton you will be in with a chance at a bottle of champagne donated by Harwoods and a lambswool polisher and car shampoo both donated by Prestige Car Care.

We have some great prizes for the day, and on top of this we have discounted Costa products (say you are with JaguarForums.com to get 20% off) at the initial Pease Pottage Services meeting point, free goodie bags with selected info, freebies, samples, and even free pens to complete your dashboard sheets with :-)

We have the biggest convoy we have ever had down to Brighton, with The Madiera Harvester (our breakfast venue) working solely for us first thing!! Please try to order their £4.99 deal (two of everything) plus drinks to help them service us as quickly as possible, as they will be working flat out for us.

After breakfast you can look over all our cars, meet our industry attendees informally, get all your questions answered, and socialise with everyone you know from online putting cars and faces to names.

There will be an event banner available for everyone to sign, photo shoots of the cars, people, and even group shots of everyone.

The prize winners will appear on the forums, Twitter, and of course our event facebook page with the winner of 'Best Turned Out Jaguar' getting to hold the title until next year when they could retain it, or may have to pass it onto the winner for 2017.

Please note that this year we have attendees not just from the South-East of the UK, but from the Midlands, Wales, the West Coast, and even the Netherlands to mention just a few, so this is a real chance to network with other Jaguar users you might otherwise never get to meet :-)

And then finally, the discount codes listed in the thread above, and in your Welcome Packs will help you to keep your Jaguar costs down over the next year - please, please make use of them to encourage our sponsors to remain with us.

Just heard from Tony from Harwoods Jaguar and he will be bringing along two showroom cars for us: An Italian Red F-Pace 3.0S and an F-TYPE V6s Coupe in White, for us to look over. Many thanks for that Tony, I am especially looking forward to seeing an F-Pace in the flesh.

OK, we are in the last few days before our event and with just three vacant places yet to be filled it is time to fill you in on some of the prize details..

We will be featuring the prizes that we feel you will find yourself unable to manage without, should you win them on Sunday.

The first one up today is the Scratchshield Bucket filter System, which I have been using myself for a while now.

Scratchshield supply both complete systems, and filter kits to work with your existing car wash system, and once you start using them, you really cannot imagine going back to not using them!

Their complete system is great, you have two fair sized buckets with labelling, ensuring you don't mix your dirty and clean water, and each bucket comes with a filter system that keeps the grit and dirt at the bottom of the bucket.

Something I had never thought of before this, is that the buckets are also designed to work as seats so when you are working on the sills and wheels (and you are getting a little more mature like me) you can just sit and work rather than bending over or kneeling next to your Jaguar.

Before I started using the kit I had not given a thought to the car washing process.. but now I can't imagine not using the system.. honestly.

You can win both complete kits, and add-on filter kits for your own car washing buckets on Sunday,  courtesy of www.scratchshield.co.uk, and even if you miss out on winning one of them you can still use the huge 25% discount code listed further up this thread for event attendees.

The Welcome Packs will be handed out at this point, and the main features of the day covered.

There will then be a convoy down to the Brighton seafront, creating a huge Jaguar statement with up to 100 cars, all setting up camp in one huge parking block in Madiera Drive.

We are down to our very last place now!! Initially we had a maximum of 100 places, which we extended to 110 due to demand for our event.. and already with three days to go, we have just one place left :-)

If you haven't signed up yet, don't worry you can still come and see us at Madiera Drive, and we still have a few prize draw tickets left so you could even still be in with a chance at any of our great prizes on the day.. Plus if you think your Jag has a chance at the award for 'Best Turned Out Jag' we still have a few dashboard info sheets left too..so even if you are not signed up this is a Jaguar event well worth attending!

You will get to see Jaguars spanning 62 years of production, from an XK140 right through to a showroom F-Pace, lots of owners with real life knowledge of these great cars, and over 100 Jaguars to look over, PLUS specialists on site to meet informally and discuss any Jaguar issues or concerns you may have from the right motor oils through to transmissions, servicing, sales and more.

Please note though the goodie bags have had to be limited to the signed up attendees listed in this thread.
