Sportbrake 2.2d 200bhp 2013 issues

Just recently bought a sportbrake 2.2d 200bhp 2013 plate. Got a few issues.

Firstly when re-fuelling it keeps stopping. If I turn nosel to the left it works fine???? Also can see something yellow down inside???

Secondly having problems locking doors. When I press lock twice drivers door still opens and alarm goes off??? If I press it 3 times car locks. This goes against what manual says. Also on unlocking, after pressing button once, drivers door doesn’t open. After pressing numerous times it finally opens.

Thirdly wing mirrors do not fold in, in manual it says to press left and right wing mirror buttons, nothing happens. Each button is working though to alter the angle of the mirrors. Is there something wrong or is it not standard for wing mirrors to fold????

I have a saloon and I struggle refueling too.  The flow of fuel cuts out unless I keep the fueling hose at "half throttle".

The yellow thing down the spout is a anti-misfuel device which should stop you putting the wrong fuel in: check your manual it should tell you about it in there.  There should be a reset device near/on your battery compartment (sorry not sure on a Sprotbrake).

Can't help with the other issues, sorry.

For the wing mirrors, have you checked the following? On the screen, touch on setup, then security. You'll see options on/off for the wing mirrors on locking the car.

I've just bought a 2012 XF Luxury D Auto and I cannot get the mirrors to fold either. I've checked the driver's door fuse in the boot fusebox and it's ok. so what could be causing the problem. I live in Cornwall where we have lots of narrow lanes so folding mirrors are essential. Any help appreciated.

Indeed, in the boot under the floor there is a yellow stick, poke this down your filler hole and it will reset the yellow flap. I had the exact same issue when I bought mine.

As for mirrors, as James mentioned, firstly check the settings in the system, there is an "Auto fold" option.

For the locks, this is a little more difficult to diagnose, it could be a sign that the battery is getting low and needs replacing, odd things happen when the battery starts to get low, the other thing is that the actuators on the door lock are known to be problematic, I am having an issue currently with both the front passenger door and rear drivers side doors, I will be taking it to the dealers to fix as I still have a warranty, if you bought it from a dealer then they should rectify all your issues.

If not then seek out a good Jag indy in your area, the one I use and comes highly recommended might be a little far for you in Milton Keynes, it's a 70 mile drive for me but well worth it, they are called E & E.

Welcome to the SportBrake family.

Hi

I have same spec/year Sportbrake. From my research it seems that I don't have the "mirror pack" which was an option to give Heated and Folding Mirrors along with Blindspot monitoring and reverse nearside dip. Mine has no mirror setting options available in the display and mirrors neither heat nor fold (but do adjust) which is a dissapointment and my only real complaint with the car after 12 months very happy ownership.
