Dash cam

Featured Replies

Hi all my first problem and hopefully my last. I have a dash cam that I took out of my old car and want to install it into my new car. The problem is air bags, they are everywhere. I don’t want wires on show all around the place. Any ideas?

Usually the trim around the airbags on the pillars are suitable to route the cables for the dash cam - The will be a small gap between the trim and the rubber seals that should allow you to place the wire there without removing the covers, etc

Thank you. That’s my job for the weekend sorted. I appreciate the help

Get yourself a plastic trim tool that will allow you to poke the cable behind the roof and A-Pillar trim without scratches or marking. It will depend where you are picking up the power for the Satnav (glovebox perhaps) whether the cable can be fully concealed from site.

PS Do you realise that you are posting in the F-Type Forum when your profile states you have the F-Pace?
