New member - thanks for having me.

Good evening everyone, new to the forum so wanted to say "thanks for having me".

Just bought my 1st Jag - 2007 XK convertible. Done 38k from new with 1 previous owner and history, I love it already. It been standing in a trader's yard for 12 months so need a bit of TLC but has all the look, feel and SOUND of great car.

Water in the rear seats traced to de-bonding of the rear screen, just at the corners so hopefully fixable. Needs some work for the MOT but that's in hand.

Issues with the front passenger window and other minor electrics but hopefully nothing serious.

Thanks again for inviting me in, looking forward to this........

Cheers.

Hi....welcome to the Club

That's quite some time for a car like that to be sat around in a yard - I guess someone traded it in for another car and it just sat there.
Feel free to post up some pics and let us know how you get on with getting it up together

Welcome to the Forum and hopefully you will soon be enjoying the wonderful world of Jaguar motoring.

There are special glues / cleaners to bond the rear window back to the convertible top. If you or your trimmer has any issues, come back here and we can look them up. Pretty sure it has been mentioned on the Forum previously.

Thanks for this. He seems pretty confident that its a straightforward job but you never know....?

Sending her away this morning to get the MOT failure bits done with a service. Passenger window still not working and the roof now won't function (they both worked previously - I tried the hard wiring reset at the battery but it didn't work), I believe this is the control module, but again I'm hoping its a known fault with a quick solution (fingers crossed!).

I'll keep you posted.

Cheers.
