  1. Right guys ive had a look for a topic like this and couldnt find one. I thought it may be good to have a topic where we can show off our pride and joys. Heres my 2003 3.0 s-type after its 10th wash, wax and detail in two months! ( yes I know a bit obsessive )

  2. Yes & it gave me the wrong size but I have it sorted now, took back to shop & they noted that later V6 S-Types have a smaller filter so nice clean filter in now.

    A few small dents on front wings - should knock out OK picked up some wire wheels but need hubs and spinners - should set it off nicely.

They are designed to help with maintaining the temperature of the engine bay, also to protect components from muck and water ingress. they also reduce noise levels and, most importantly, assist in the aerodynamics of the car. They are also designed to annoy people because the fasteners rust into their clips resulting in the fasteners twisting uselessly when trying to remove them

  6. Hi Glyn, I looked up some figures a year or so ago, and the total number was about 340,000, and about 150,000 went to the USA and Canada, with about another 50,000 into Europe and the erstwhile colonies. The Dutch and the Germans liked them! That left about 150,000 in the UK. Regards, Peter.

  7. Over a period of time, the upper part of the door/window surround can bend slightly causing wind noise. Tape the door up with easy peel masking tape climb in through the passengers door and take it for a spin, or try pulling/pushing the upper door frame in with a finger while driving sometimes there is just enough give to cause a noise. The trick is (if it needs it) is some blankets and a 4x2 piece of wood pass through the open window to east the upper frame back slightly, easy on a ford tricky on a jag done correctly doors will be super silent

  8. Thanks very much, it is a joy to drive. When I first drove her I was somewhat disappointed with how she sounded so I had some bespoke rear boxes fitted which have added a few more horses to the stable and made her burble nicely, what is quite nice is when she is under some enthusiastic acceleration the sound of the exhausts in conjunction with the whine of the supercharger does bring a smile to my face I must say.
