  1. Well ! Thanks to Youtube, I fixed the problem. it appears that there's a two pin connector actually in the fuel tank. I removed the rear seat, lifted the plastic diaphragm, disconnected the two fuel lines, opened the locking ring, lifted the unit and cleaned the little connector. For someone who was on a voyage of discovery, it took from lifting seat to replacing seat just under an hour. No low fuel warning and no £££ to a garage. * Feeling smug* I hope it lasts.

  2. True, but it's amazing how many seem to forget to. First job I had from leaving school, the guy I worked for had a DS. I remember I was never going to buy anything else! 😅 On the pittance we were on then though I couldn't even afford a pushbike. I'm early 60's too, seems to be a theme developing here! Although my missus doesn't drive (and doesn't like going fast, which to her is anything over 40), she likes to know what all the buttons are for. The one with the chequered flag on is going to be tricky....

  3. It’s in the owners hand book, no diagnostic tool required. Manually unlock all the doors inside the car, remove the emergency lock cover on the outside passenger front door handle, using the emergency key blade from inside the key fob turn and hold the lock to the unlock position and press and hold the unlock button on the fob and it should re-synchronise the key fob to the car.
