  1. Your thoughts on after-market DAB/AUX radios would be appreciated please. I have an MY2007 Convertible XK and want to add DAB /Aux In. I am thinking of fitting an after market DAB receiver with auxiliary in (so that I can play from my iPhone) and am thinking of the following device : http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/Kinetic_digitizor_DAB_DAB_plus_DMB-A_car_radio.html Before I buy, I am keen to understand the likely signal quality I will get which is influenced by the aerial ; - how well will a glass mounted aerial work on my car ? Is the glass heat reflective ? Will this, or the heater element get in the way of the signal ? - I have no roof or rear window to mount to - I do not want to fit a body mounted aerial - I could fit a converter to allow the DAB to hook up to the existing aerial in the rear spoiler, but I don't know whether that existing aerial is amplified or not If anyone can help me with the answers to any of these questions or thought, I would appreciate it. Thanks Geoff

  4. How did it work out Mitch ? Any happier ?
  5. Try it in Trac DSC mode - really livens things up and does away with the lag when pulling away. A 3 second press on the DSC button will suffice. I just would not turn DSC off altogether (by holding the button down for about 10 seconds) - it might become a little bit TOO lively !
  6. Now that I own my XK, I have been thinking about boot space (particularly with the top down). The car is equipped with a spacesaver wheel, which seems ideal to begin with. However there is a bit of a design challenge here - What do you do with the damaged type if you have to fit the spacesaver (especially if it is a rear tyre that is too big for the space under the floor). Yes, you could wrap it in polythene and put it on the back seats, but that might not be a practical thing to do at times. So, I thought about alternatives, and have been reading about PunctureSafe. According to the website (www.puncturesafe.com), this is a permanent polymer-based preventative gel with fibres in it that not only seals punctures, but seems to prevent them happening in the first place. I have to say, that I have always been suspicious of the rubber-solution-in-a-can stuff, as it damages the tyre. However this stuff looks different and washes out if you need to do so without damaging the tyre. They make versions for performance vehicles as well as the military and construction industry. The added benefit is that I get more boot space by removing the space saver. However before going down this route, I wondered if anyone had and experience of the product. Cheers Geoff
