Hi I have a 2009 xtype running on tyre size 225/40/18 zr what is the correct pressure for theses I have asked tyre fitting places but they can't agree what the correct pressure is any advice appreciated

The illumination on my dashboard isn't very bright even when turned to the full position any suggestions please ?
