Whilst this is true for the type of TPMS system that uses the wheel speed sensors, The XE doesn't have this sort of system. It has actual pressure reading valves in each tyre. The check all tyres message is very common this time of year as temperatures drop and so the pressure in all 4 tyres drops accordingly. You will probably find they are all down 2-4 PSI from the ideal, top them up! Edit: Just seen this was an ancient post, sorry.
