  1. this is where it gets weird... if I use central locking, the door will open on the inside lever fine... if the car auto locks then it seems to go into deadlock and the door will not open until the CL button is pressed... the inner handle is non affective..
  2. I can pull the inner handle all day but the door only opens when I hit the button, then the door opens normally on the handle, I guess from this I will be hunting around the linkages for the handle release soon to see if something is slack...??
  3. Hello R2e, I see it as an annoyance... Here in rural Cambridgeshire you are statistically more likely to have a jet liner land on your car than be the victim of car jacking or robbery. In a job where frequent stops are required, having to constantly hit the central locking button to get out of the car is a real pain in the butt. I have seen video for other jaguar models where a key / button combination can be used to successfully deactivate this feature without the use of software and interface, it would be nice if that were possible with this model.
  4. Thanks... Cant be any worse than my old MG/R cars and T4... ?? I want to fit an aftermarket android head unit with Nav... any particular tripping points on these?
  5. Thank you, Is the software and interface available at an affordable price outside of a dealership?
  6. Greetings all, I am new to the S-Type (05) petrol, I was wondering if there is a simple procedure to deactivate the automatic locking of all doors when I pull away? Thank you for any tips.. K
