  1. Somewhere on the 'forum' i did read about availability of an 'electric folding mirror(s) pack' for retro fitting to such as XF ' variant' luxury models. Having recently had both my mirrors damaged by passing vehicles in narrow lanes where I live I have concluded that I must pursue the possibility/feasibility of such a conversion. Can anyone help or advise re sourcing? Help! Peter John
  2. I have had same experience with my 2009 XF. Last week on two differing instances damaged both my wing mirrors because of non folding. Repairs etc cost me £140 - could have saved this if I had known about a mirror pack. Would I need to go to Jaguar for such or an on-line source. Any help could;d save me money in the long run. Peter J.
  3. My recently purchased XF (used) has been subjected to a rather heavyweight former owner driver and as a result the seat squab is severely depressed (as i am also at this problem). The driving position is compromised in its height and unfortunately this 'Luxury' model does not have a height adjustment to compensate. Jaguar informs me that the internal trim colour is 'Barley Maize'. Can anyone offer advice/suggestions as to how I can overcome this problem either by reupholstering or replacing seat squab/total seat. I live in Tutbury, Burton on Trent, Staffs. but being a total carer for my wife am restricted in terms of time and distance to travel. Would appreciate any/all help given. John
  4. Try Provident Motor Insurance - I reduced my X-type premium from a renewal premium of £510 down to an unsolicited £337 - I have no claims history. Unfortunately my X-type although mint condition 'above the ground' inside and out was MOT rejected for underneath cills having corroded beyond repair Following a period of mourning (and searching) I have replaced it with an XF - again with a very good and competitive premium. I advise 'try 'em' - nothing to lose. Best of luck, Peter J
  5. I have just changed to an XF Luxury 3 Litre auto saloon. (My previous X-type scrapped due to irreparable chassis corrosion) That model a, 1992 SE 3 litre auto had auto folding mirrors as standard and I assumed all Jaguars particularly later model years would also have this feature.. I would like to know if it is possible to retro fit this feature to an XF mechanically and with necessary software update. Would be grateful if anyone could help. John
