first post here, so be gentle!
In my family we have a 1995 XJ6 3.2 sport auto. This has the straight six engine, not the later V8. We have owned this car since about 1997 but are currently mulling over a choice between restoration and selling as a restoration project.
On the plus side it is low mileage (less than 40K), has a very clean leather interior, has good tyres on it and is in good mechanical order, with a good service history. It has the correct period jaguar stereo, with CD changer in the boot. It is a nice colour combination; British racing green with light coloured (not quite cream, not sure of the official colour designation) leather. On the minus side the car is 'cosmetically challenged' in various ways; the main problem is that clear coat is bad, It also has a sagging headliner and one or two other external blemishes.
I can post some pictures of the car if that is of interest. Any advice/suggestions as to the best way ahead would be very welcome.
thanks in advance for any comments
