  1. Thanks for the reply. The ipod has the latest software itunes will get for it. It doesn't have bluetooth. As the USB socket works for the iphone I guess it must be either the ipod being too old or a problem with the cable. I'll have to see if I can find another one to test it out with.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I can play music from my phone when connected via USB. When I connected the ipod to the USB and selected USB instead of ipod the screen still said please connect device. I can't connect the ipod via bluetooth as it doesn't have bluetooth and I don't have an adaptor that does that.
  3. HI, no I only have an Aux socket and a USB one. The later video suggests I should be able to just plug into the USB one and off it goes, but it only charges it.
  4. Hi all, have searched for this but can't find an answer, apologies if there is one somewhere. I have a 2013 Jaguar XF Premium Luxury, which according to the screen and the manual has ipod connectivity. The sockets in the middle compartment are just USB and Aux. I have an old ipod classic with the original Apple cable, but when I plug this into the USB socket the system does not recognise it - if I select ipod on the screen it just says 'please connect ipod'. The ipod itself has a message onscreen saying 'Do not disconnect', and is charging, which suggests the socket works but I do not get why the system won't recognise it. Does anyone know what the issue is here and how to fix it please? Thanks!
