  1. Hey everyone, first post here. I own a jaguar xf 2009 4.2 v8 sc. Driving my jag last night with a friend, the scariest thing happened to me, going 65mph.... In on the right lane going 65mph, about to take my exit, I drive across a few potholes and boom the rear wheels lock up and I cant even brake the car because the brake pedal just fell to the floor. PARK BRAKE FAULT pops up while im trying to keep the car in control. My friend thought that I was pulling the craziest stunt ever. The car had no plans on moving after that. Giving it a good bit of throttle pushed it but the park brake was still engaged. I get out of the car and my rear left wheel is smoking like hell. I got it towed to my house and tried diagnosing the issue but seems to be a internal issue. Has anyone ever experienced something like this? Id hope that my jag didn't wanna kill me but looks like it wanted to get me in a bad accident. Guy behind me swerved to the other lane thinking I was brake checking him. Anyone got advice? Will be getting it towed to the dealership to diagnose the issue... just a edit. Ive tried, unplugged the battery over 10 times and followed park brake calibration procedure. put a new battery in it, left it without a battery overnight and plugged in. Nothing although when i plugged connectors back into the parking brake module. I heard the parking brake going off and on 3 times. just a bunch of ticking sounds.
