Many thanks it was the breather pipe that had a hole in it, now fixed.

My engine management light has come on i checked it with the AA and they said it was a fuel glinch and as the car is running okay not to worry they cancelled it out but after 20 miles it came on again, the car is a 2002 xtype 2.1 petrol any ideas.
