  1. Unfortunately you do not have a ”service connection” to enable remote movement of the seat and there is no way to manually move them. You will therefore have to remove it and then apply 12v to the motor in order to move it. Assuming of course the motor has not been damaged by the water.
  2. Welcome to the forum Steve, enjoy.😊
  3. Very nice Mike, although a bit too far for a day visit. If I come up with anything else I will email you.🤙
  4. Yes it does. The most common problem for a drain is the ”alarm chirp sounder”. The internal rechargeable batteries short out over time causing the drain. The other is the little flap in the ignition barrel not closing when the key is removed. The easiest way to deal with the sounder is to simply disconnect it and then see if the battery is still discharging. The ignition switch flap will just need a little graphite grease to lubricate it, if indeed it is stuck open.
  5. Hi Mike, The manual I sent you will have the 4.2 engine wiring in it. The rest of the manual is the same for both.
  6. Welcome to the forum Mathew, enjoy.😊
  7. Here you go Mike. http://www.jagrepair.com/images/AutoRepairPhotos/CarPDFFiles/SType/S-Type-Electrical-2006on.pdf
  8. Here’s a pair of genuine straps; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204700933429
  9. The latest Jaguar disc you can get is 2012, Frank. If you need more up to date then you will have to go aftermarket.
  10. Hit and miss, Tim. Some had them, some didn’t. If the one you’re looking at hasn’t got one then there should be a trim piece that covers the floor. It should also have the can of blow up foam in case of puncture. Sourcing from the internet would be your best bet if you really want a spare.
  11. Glad to have been of help to you, Allan.🤙
  12. Excellent news Pete and thanks for the update.🤙
  13. Hi Allan, Put the mirror in it’s driving position first. Now adjust the glass inwards. Now put your fingers into the side of the glass and simply pull. It will just pop of it’s mounting. Make sure your other hand is there to steady the glass in case it falls.
  14. As they are generally electrical problems, the first thing to do is to check your battery voltage at the terminals.
  15. Quite right John. You should be able to disconnect it to prove the theory, Pete. Just another thought, you don’t have a tracker fitted or something plugged into the OBD port, do you?
  16. This is the part number, DAC11150, you may be able to get one from eBay
  17. Not quite Pete. As soon as you reconnect the battery, the infotainment centre will flash up and that is where your 9A is coming from. You would need to wait 30 minutes for the various modules to shutdown to get a more accurate reading of any parasitic drain. The most common fault is the alarm chirp sounder internal batteries shorting out causing the drain. The sounder sits under the driver’s side bonnet hinge and is quite fiddly to get to.
  18. Hi Rod and welcome. There is no fuse. The lock is electronically controlled by the front electronic module for the cabin switches and the rear electronic module for the boot switch. Most likely cause would be a broken wire in the boot loom at the hinge point.
  19. Sorry to hear that Paul. Hopefully your Indy can get it done for you.
  20. Hi Paul, you would need to remove the wheel and the wheel arch liner also.
  21. This is the guy I use and so do many others and you certainly won’t get ripped off. https://www.google.co.uk/url?q=https://m.facebook.com/TheJagSpecialist/&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwiL3OWs4s6EAxV3QEEAHcw0CC4QFnoECAEQAg&usg=AOvVaw0IEVURZkbbtObrHHUX7XvG
  22. Very nice Bruce and welcome to the forum.🤙😎
  23. Hi John, that was the dash for the early s, types before the update.
  24. Hi Paul, the job is definitely a DIY job though it will be a bit fiddly. Personally, I would remove the bottle from the car so it can be throughly cleaned out. This will also give better access for the filter which will just require cleaning rather than replacement. Be mindful of any O seals that may be fitted. Dont forget to blow through the lines also.
