I purchased a Jaguar XF 2013 2.0 diesel with full dealer history and only 46,000 miles. I am very happy with car apart from pretty loud engine noise on acceleration. Prior to this car I had a Mercedes c class on lease which was extremely quite but it was a hybrid petrol. When serviced I was given an e class diesel car which the engine noise was very subdued. The xf I have is more akin to a 51 ref mondeo ghia I owned back in 2003. Is that normal or should the engine noise on acceleration be more subdued? Thanks in advance
