  1. Yes I have checked for water in the boot. Also checked for water on the fuse box in the drivers footwell. Nothing to report there
  2. How do you do that? I would have thought after driving the car for nearly a month the monitor would have sorted itself to be honest
  3. On the 2012 XF there is no CD for the sat nav. You have to buy a USB and upload it directly through the USB socket. www.satnavishop.co.uk is probably the cheapest supplier at £89 for the USB
  4. A common problem is the door lock actuators failing, but I think they normally lock but don't unlock. My rear left door does this and I need to fit a new actuator. I recently had to change my car battery and removing the battery caused the central locking and keys to stop working. I had to get the modules reprogrammed. Have your garage checked these? Trying to find a none dealership who had the software was a struggle but found a good independent Jaguar specialist near me who sorted it
  5. I had error codes come up before the battery change. The first time the car wouldn't start I was at work and had to call the RAC out who put his jump leads directly onto the battery terminals, even after I said he shouldn't put the negative directly onto the battery but onto an earth. He was pretty crap to be honest, told me the battery was fine and said it looked like water got into the ECU. I have check this and can't see how water could get into it, all looked fine when I removed it. New fully charged battery resolved this issue. I had to take it to CFS Motors in Corley who reprogrammed the central locking and keys for me as removing the battery had lost these. I just need a new rear left door lock actuator now lol
  6. I had all those faults come up on mine. I bought a new battery, fully charged it and then fitted it. That sorted those faults out for mine. This is a different problem I'm having now. Very annoying when you're in a car park and your Jaguar doesn't start lol
  7. So I have had an intermittent problem with my 62 plate XF Sportbrake 2.2d 200ps. I will go to start the car and get a continuous bip bip bip, faults come up on the display, ABS Fault, park brake fault (there maybe others) and the car doesn't start. Take my finger off the start button and it just shuts down but the continuous bip stays. I have read the codes with my code reader, and cleared them, which are U0121 Lost communication with ABS control module & U0126 Lost communication with steering angle sensor module. The car has a brand new fully charged battery fitted. Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? Many thanks Jon
  8. I had an issue with my Sportbrakes tailgate not aligned properly. It turned out to be the N/S hinge plate bolts had come loose. Tightened them up and all sorted. Worth checking these, just try them with your fingers and if they move just tighten them up. Extension bar and socket to suit, can't remember the size, sorry
  9. Cheers Jon. Since I posted this I have done research elsewhere and apparently the resetting of the EPB is relatively easy without a computer. Having said that my wife bought me a Foxwell scanner that will allow me to wind the brakes back and reset the EPB. Once the weather has improved I will be doing the discs and pads myself that I bought from Autodoc, and painting my calipers too 😁
  10. Thanks for the reply. Will search for you tube videos
  11. Hi guys I need to change the rear discs and pads on my 62 plate XF Sportbrake 2.2d premium luxury. I have the parts, including the wear sensor, but was wondering if there is anything I should be aware of? Had the car 6 months and slowly getting any issues sorted as previous owner didn't take care of her as well as they could have. Thanks in advance Jon
  12. Very nice. Love the colour and wheels, really suit the car
  13. Hello everyone. I thought I would join this group and give it ago. I'm on my 4th Jaguar which is a 62 plate XF 2.2d 200ps Premium Luxury Sportbrake. Bought her about 6 months ago and I'm loving it. My first Jag was an 07 plate X Type sport but was sadly written off when someone crashed into her while parked outside our old house. Then I bought a 52 plate S Type 2.5 SE, but it had been standing for aboutv4 years before I bought it and needed a fair bit of money spending on her. I traded her in for an 07 plate XJ6 X356 2.7d Sovereign and absolutely loved that car, but I changed my job and just couldn't find the time to give her the care she deserved and needed. I bought an Astra after her but I just missed driving a Jaguar so bought my Sportbrake and love driving her as much as I did my X356. I have a few jobs that doing on her, first of which will be the rear discs and pads. Have already bought the parts, just waiting for the weather to grant me permission to work outdoors lol
