I'm going to France at the end of this month with my 04 S-Type (& of course my wife) and I'm wondering what to do to adjust the headlight beam. The handbook just talks about adjustment for HID lights but not for halogen lights. Any advice would be welcome.

Its recommended that the oil should be changed every 10k miles. Is this considered too long a period and if so what would be recommended mileage to change the oil.

Is the headlight switch the same on all S-Types no matter the year or model?

I have an 04 S-Type 2.5 and the lights will not turn off. The headlights go out when the ignition is turned off but the parks stay on. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution?

Had the pipe replaced on Monday and had no warning light since. So keeping my fingers crossed. Really do not suspect the oxygen sensors are playing up as she is averaging 31.4 mpg with a mixture of urban and rural driving (must say more rural than urban).

Had a diagnostics check done and the problem was a short rubber pipe connected to the rocker box cover leaking air. There maybe a problem with the oxygen sensors and that it would require a more in depth diagnostics check to confirm this.

I have a 2004 2.5 S-Type. The engine warning light has come on along with the amber light to the left of the the message centre. The message centre is displaying "Restricted Performance" intermittently Could this be indicating that the car may require a service or is it a sign of a more serious problem. The car appears to be driving as normal?

Anyone have any information on retro fitting a CD changer to a 2004 S Type luxury. The radio supports one therefore is there a lead going to the boot and if so where in the boot is it located.

Thanks for the info. Its what I thought but I was puzzled by the fact that it had to be turned on whenever starting the car, so I thought maybe I was wrong, however that appears not to be the case.

I've just bought an S Type 04 plate. Could anyone tell me if it is best to use the traction control all the time? If not when should it be used? Many thanks
