  1. With 2019 F Pace OEM front mud flaps retailing at £147 (!) just wondering if anyone has fitted acceptable alternatives? Thanks
  2. Hi, Somehow developed a leak behind the front wheel arch in the tubing that feeds the rear wiper. Any tips or guidance in removing the wheel arch lining and exposing the tubing, gratefully received. TIA
  3. Hi, has anyone upgraded their Reversing Lights with a higher output lamp such as Canbus - or is the 'rumour mill' correct in suggesting that changing the lamps is just not possible? TIA
  4. OK all you F Pace owners out there, I’ve just sent an LBA, Letter Before Action, to the Main JLR Dealer who sold me an 18 month old F Pace that had pitting and corrosion on the rear discs at 12400 miles. I’m fed up with the appalling response from both JLR and the Dealer in not accepting that it’s a Warranty issue. The fact that corrosion has been ‘allowed’ to exist and not abraded on the first application of the brakes, and the undeniable fact that the pads are not making full face contact with the discs as designed is evidence in itself of some sort of malfunction – and I intend pursuing this through the Courts under the Consumer Rights Act with reference to durability. So I’m asking for all you F Pace owners who have vehicles that have had this issue, whether resolved under Warranty or denied as a justifiable claim, to private message me with details. Model, age, mileage, advice or contributory payment received from JLR, resolved under warranty, or denied etc. etc. It's about time this issue was more widely discussed! Your co-operation is appreciated. Regards,
  5. Hi, I'm looking for supporting evidence of successful warranty claims for corrosion to the rear discs on the F Pace. Lots of reports re the issue, but has anyone been successful in getting JLR to accept a claim? Mine can't be the only F Pace where it is obvious that the pads, inner and outer are not being applied to the face of the disc as designed, corrosion can only occur where the pads are not sweeping the face of the disc evenly and across the whole of the face of the pad. But getting JLR to 'understand' that is proving difficult, and don't get me started on the Motor Ombudsman! Whoever is paying their salary is wasting money! Get the word around and let's start some momentum - please!
  6. Hi, I've seen considerable discussion regarding corrosion of the rear discs where it is plainly obvious that the root cause is lack of contact of the pads to the discs under normal braking; together with a number of retorts from both JLR and others referring to quality of discs etc. JLR 'head office' have rebuffed my claim for the rear discs on my 2 year old Portfolio for a warranty repair, and I have submitted the case to the Motor Ombudsman (motoring ombudsman - Bing ) who have accepted it as a valid claim and are in the process of taking it up with JLR. My question/s today: Anyone on this forum had any experience / success with Motor Ombudsman, or indeed have pursued JLR through the Small Claims Court for resolution of similar issues? Regards,
  7. Hi, Anyone awqare as to how the round Jaguar emblem on the front grill is held in place? TIA
  8. Hi, Noticed uneven wear across the rear discs, some 30% on the outside edge not being 'used', compared with front discs, suspecting issue with caliper pistons? Anyone out there successfully progressed this fault under warranty? 2yr old 2.0D, X761. Thanks
  9. Hi, Any ideas out there as to where in the boot area of my 2020 F-Pace I might locate the 12v feed to the high level brake light? TIA, GD
  10. Hi Trevor, I can't say I'd noticed the ride type you mention - always found it as expected, safe and secure, comfortable and responsive. Rgds, GD
