  1. Liked all your replies, guys. Jaguars. You gotta love 'em.
  2. Sounds like the gear selector bolt has worked itself loose. I had the same problem on my 2003 XJ6. You need a new bolt fitted. Fairly straight-forward. Hope this helps.
  3. My 2003 XJ6 (El-Grandé) suffered a breakdown. The gear selector linkage bolts had somehow fallen out. So I took into to a Jaguar service centre for repairs. While there I thought I'd get the car serviced as well. Lots of problems were found. Too many to list. The final bill? £4547.82. YES, Four thousand, five hundred and forty-seven pounds, eighty-two pence. No holiday this year. Wife not happy. The XJ6 feels very fit though.
  4. I've always thought the current XJ series could do without the orange colour in the headlight unit. Now they've got rid of it. Neat facelift. Any photos of the rear and interior?
  5. I too have the exact same problem on my 2003 XJ6. It could be dirt or moisture on the sensors. The red light means the sensors are deactivated.
  6. Bosch make an excellent wiper-blades replacement for Jaguar XJ6 (x350) 03/2003 to 07/2010. The are BOSCH AR608S AEROTWIN. The include both drivers & passengers side wiper-blades (24" & 19") and have the built-in screen washer. They're a easy fit. You only have to swap the screen washer nozzle to the opposite side for right-hand drive vehicles. They are available from Euro-car Parts for about £22 (PART CODE: 485670020). I have fitted them to my XJ6 (El-Grandé) & they're brilliant. Smooth, no smearing or juddering. They also fit S-Type (10/2001 to 07/2010)
  7. Hello Sandypip. Enjoyed your post. You're never too old to enjoy life. And why not in a JAAAAGGGG!!!
  8. The way it drives; sevelt 1 minute, then sporty the next, always a pleasure.
  9. That's how we roll. It still turns heads 10 years on.
  10. Hi there. I have a 2003 XJ6 V6 PETROL. Recently the adjustment for the steering column has stopped working. I'm able to adjust the pedals which is on the same lever. Any solutions? Also when I start and drive off when the car changes down to 5th gear the engine starts to "hunt" with the revs rising and falling. This then stops after a while, but always happens when I first use the car. All solutions gratefully accepted.
