  1. This car I recently got I was underneath it changing the oil or rather the gunge and I reckon this car has been kept in a dry garage for most of its life. Subframes still have factory paint on them , barely any rust to be seen anywhere on the car. Just thought I would boast about it because I am a bit of a prick that way.
  2. Thanks for the answers guys. Getting the code from Jaguar got everything working. Parking sensors are still not working at the rear , but I will get round to it .
  3. I have the above fault codes reading out on my diagnostic machine. They all relate to " Circuit Defective" . for the servomotor and air recirculation flaps. Can anyone tell me is this a circuit board issue, a wiring issue or something else. Any information on where I might need to look as well would be handy. just trying to save myself some time if someone has already had to fix something similar. cheers Gordon
  4. A few minor niggles to sort out any advice much appreciated. Put it in reverse and you get one long beep which then stops and nothing else happens. cant get use of the sat nav or radio functions though I can still use it to control the heating / air con. Doesn't show any faults but when I do the manual checks the soft buttons test gives me numbers and lines ( should be a picture attached ) . My suspicions lead me to a replacement screen and module as they seem to be at the centre of everything, but not getting any real information from it as to what is faulting I would appreciate anyone who has knowledge of these faults giving me the benefit of their knowledge. Do you think doing an update would help or be a waste of time just now?
  5. I have tried that , but it doesnt do anything I am afraid .
  6. it still has power going to it, screen lights up and can use it to adjust climate , but wont let me do anything else
  7. Thanks Julie. Cruise is now behaving itself and working fine, but now I know where to look in future. Sat nav , cd , radio etc are still not working. trying to sort that out.
  8. I have the same problem on my S type. can put in the wrong code three times then it goes to please wait and eventually asks for the code again
  9. Hi there, Gordon here from Edinburgh. Just collected my 2007 S type 2.7 se from down in Englandshire yesterday. Enjoying it so far. A couple of minor niggles. No code for the touch screen radio and the battery had been replaced before I got it, Fuel gauge was working on journey up but not this morning , intermittent cruise control. Any advice on where to look for good information or even if this is fairly normal would be much appreciated
