  1. I just chopped all the wires 10cm from the connector at each end and replaced all the wires with new pieces. The connectors are similar, and pin 1 connects to pin 1, pin 2 to pin 2 etc. The coax cable for the camera can be done in a similar way by chopping the connectors off and replacing broken section with new coax. As long as you are comfortable doing a bit of soldering it's very easy. The only relatively difficult bit, is removing the trim to get access to the loom.
