X-Type front passenger door ONLY opens when the weather is ICE cold.

I have a 2008 X-Type with a strange problem.The front passenger door will open manually from the inside but will not open from the outside.It doesn't usually open using the remote either however the strange thing is it WILL consistently open and close (manually or using the remote) in ICE COLD weather.All other doors open and close as normal.Can anyone tell me what's going on here and how to fix this ?
