  1. To check the system, turn on ignition (do not start engine) place car in reverse and then put your ear right up to the sensors, you should here a clicking noise, it is really faint so you must put your ear to the sensor, if you find a sensor with no clicking noise then that is the one that will need changing, if all of them do not make a noise then probably a module but get the garage to check with their software to make sure. I have just done this and found my outer near side was faulty. Luckily mine was under warranty which my dealer gave me when I brought the car, if it hadn't been it was over £400 to get my Jag garage to replace as the rear number has to be removed and believe me there is no other way but to remove the bumper. Hope this helps.

I have just brought an S type 2.7d SE Auto it has a Navteq Sat Nav with DVD loader in the boot, how can I get an updated version without spending silly money. Also how do I check what version is fitted in case mine is already updated. Rgds SST
  5. Can this be done on an S type, I have a 2.7d SE on a 57 plate and was wondering how I can check to see if my sat Nav is up to date and if not how can I do it. Rgds Sst
  6. Hi Everyone, I have just brought my First Jaguar,it is an S type 2.7D SE on a 57 plate. I don't know much about jags, as I was always a Ford man before (2.9 Scorpio Cosworth)I brought my last car which was a BMW 525, now this was superb but was getting old and needed too much work on it, front cats, suspension bushes etc, then I saw this "S" type which is in mint condition and thought why not give it a try, hope a It is as good as looks and drives. Although I haven't driven it far yet, picked it up on Saturday and in Hospital Monday for a New Hip, so no driving for 6 weeks. Rgds Paul
