  1. You would appear to have done everything required. mine was difficult to do because the wiring is very tight. but once the tangs are released that is it basicly there should be nothing else in the way. Can you try and un plug the wiring.

    Stan.

  2. All I can say is that somehow you have to pull the seal of the door frame. or off the car itself because it has two. and pack out the soft sealing piece with something like a strip of rubber  and then replace and hopefully it will have restored the seal sufficiantly to stop wind noise. Sorry that is the best I can do to explain it.

  3. Right chaps. where would you start to increase fuel consumption. I seem to be ok on long distances, around 30mpg.  tyres at 35 psi, no engine faults, but only doing 10-15 around town. mind we do have a lot of trafic lights, round a bouts and trafic jams, so suppose that doesnt help

    Stan.

  4. I am still positive it is an air leek. That beather pipe I mentioned is not blocked is it, it has a restricter at each end of only a few mm. so it will show same fault has a leek. I had same trouble. Have you had the codes read with obd2 tester.

  5. T o me it sounds like an air leek. try the breather pipe on top of the engine and to where it disappears at back of engine, it has a elbow joint that is a known fault on S Types, you may have to remove it to find fault, usually a small crack.

    Stan
