  1. Preston Jaguar Centre White Horse Garage, Garstang RoadPR3 5AB Barton Lancashire As a Private customer or me as a techy they couldnt be more helpful and knowledgeable, vant recommend them enough!
  2. Jaguar, playing up, never heard such ....... well ok, thats why i love them, its always a "challenge" when something goes **ts up with a Jag, keeps me on my toes! Ill gladly help anyone if I can. Regards Phil
  3. Trust Me same code, same explainatrion for a jag but couldnt find a specific one for Jag. by the way that code isnt listed in Autodata or anything like it, they expect P1*** to only be accessed by Jag main Stealers
  4. Quite often, on some cars these reluctor rings crack. Look very carefully, or get someone with a good quality multimeter or scope to "read" the output whilst spinning the wheel relatively slowly, you will see an "odd" part of the output if its cracked, failing that just have a damned good look at the ring all the way round. Regards Phil
  5. I'm actually better on the old stuff as thats what I love best, I'm restoring a Trans am Firebird for a customer right now and its fun (where were all my AF spanners? Ah still where I left them in 1975, ) Ill help where I can, i have autodata up to 2007 if that helps anyone. and an MT2500 scanner that'll do the basics on Jags. If anyone needs codes reading or fault lights clearing I'll do them for the price of a pint, or free if they've got an interesting car!
  6. Unless theyve changed over the years there is a keyhole on the boot lid, well hidden but mine has one, near the centre look UP at the boot edge. If not you'll have to jack car up and get jump lead onto the starter solenoid (Black to anything metal (earth)) and while youre holding the live to the solenoid press the keyfob. If you can open the bonnet, you could put a live to anything (almost) electrical, but Im guessing you're locked out too?

  8. 300K since last service, shame on you!
  9. You really need to put the car on a diag machine, BUT, I had exactly the same fault on my diesel 2.0 Mondeo and it was the sensor in the turbo intercooler. Hope this helps Phil
  10. http://faculty.ccp.edu/faculty/dreed/campingart/jettatech/p1582/index.htm this gives a good description, should help!
