Well Peter had the jaguar in a place called injection development they came back to me the diesel pump got destroyed from the inside and metal shavings all thru the pipes and into fuel tank and destroyed the injectors all in costing £1600 for repairs -

I got my dad who is a mechanic to replace it and still having the same problem am lost on this engine -
I changed my egr valve on my x-type ran for a few weeks then started the same problem so I got a genuine jaguar egr valve fitted as was advised by jaguar now my car won't start plugged in diagnostics machine and no codes are popping up?? Any advice??

Having a problem with my 2.2d x-type it hesitates when I rev it put box on and read egr valve so replaced it and still has same symptoms please help

I would have liked a diesel but settled with the 2.5 petrol model it does great milage my friend has the 2ltr diesel and does about the same

I have the 3litre v6 petrol model on a v plate with 110k on clock brilliant car with no faults I want the xjf or F-type as they both look awesome an drive beautiful but I never had a problem with my s-type or 2.5 v6 x-type
