  1. Sorry Peter Yes the battery is ok AA suggested security/ locking control module because 2brakelights. , reverse lights, central locking don not work. He thinks they be tied in to the security side Robin
  2. Been given 2 options. 1 security & locking control module or body processor module 2. P1638 can link ECM/instm circuit/network Error message came up on diagnostics
  3. I have 1998 xj8 &have developed a list of faults. Central locking failed, windows not Working, rear fogs& rear brakes( not eye level) various fault messages doors open etc.engine runs fine but gear box stuck in park. (will come out if I use button by j gate). Car will drive ok. Could these problems be linked to body processor module.
  4. I got a key fob for my xj soveriegn from a breakers and had it programmed to my jag by independent jag garage. Total cost was 45 quid. Might be worth trying that route for yours
  5. hi dell try ryall garage on A38 between upton on severn and Tewksbury, he used to have a selection of jags for spares or repair. telephone number I think is 01684592271
  6. thanks. just to add although no heating the engine cooling is ok [does not overheat]
  7. I have a 1998 xj sovereign lwb [308] and am just getting cool air from heater, even on hot. I changed the water heater pump but the pump overheated, was told this is due to no water being pulled through by pump, indicating a blockage in matrix. can I back flush the matrix from pump end using a hose
