  1. Hi all Another little niggle - the dial lights in the dash of of my sovereign are on all the time as soon as the ignition is engaged. I can't turn them off at all - I've clicked the dimmer on the steering column but it's had no effect. I've read that it may be a lighting control module issue? Could anyone tell me where exactly this module is and how to remove/replace? Also, when driving I've noticed a few clicks from around the steering column - clicks that sound very much like the one from the j gate when you press the brake. Anyone know what this might be? Many thanks!
  2. Hi again Getting to grips with the many 'quirks' of my xj sovereign...! When I put the side lights on, the rear main lights come on as well - or is this the brake light? Because when I press the brake this bulb just gets brighter and that's all. Is this right?! Also - when the lights are off and I brake, the bulb defect light comes on. When the lights are on, the bulb defect light is on constantly unless I press the brake, at which point it goes off! What's going on?! Many thanks Gavin
  3. Thank you for your reply! it's just very strange, there are no plugs hanging down or broken wires as you might expect. Confused!
  4. Hi all I recently bought a 1995 xj Sov and there are a few niggles. I went to change the bulb in the passenger side numberplate light, to find that the prongs were missing. When I went under the boot lining to replace the holder, there were no wires going to this holder at all! No wires are visible that have moved, fallen or broken. I'm totally confused about what may have happened here, so if anyone could shed any light I'd be grateful. Many thanks! Gavin
