hi all I have just mot,d my 1997 xk8 went through fine but with two advisories 1 shock absorber bush slightly worn also front anti roll bar linkage bush. are these jobs easy enough for your average home mechanic to do ie :me. comments please alan c

hi big cat people help after my 1997 xk8 sitting in the garage for the last few weeks on a trickle charger. I went out for a spin yesterday but the traction control/stability light on the dash is on, any ideal what may be the cause ? thanks

ok people it seems that the sensor is working fine. so now the problem is coolant loss and quite dramatic. no drips or wet patches but header tank empties in 50 miles or so. a mechanic spotted that there was a residue in the header and thought it may have been radseal or similar. now im thinking oil !!. any ideals? alan

ah the good old days,when sundays were filled with a trip to the local breakers yard tools in hand.wrong answer but a mechanic of my own style. thanks alan

help I have a display come up on the dash which says low coolant level. this display comes and goes, however temp gauge is fine and coolant level is also fine. my conclusion is a sensor problem. where is the sensor and how easy is it to replace? that assumes I am correct any ideals please alan

thanks old peter. I have visited GEMs site ,however cars have to be less than 15 years old and as my xk8 is 17 she does not qualify dash it all. so im still looking for help please alan

hi all i have just bought a convertible xk8 lovely. we are going to drive down to the south of france in june. as the car is a 97 model, i think breakdown cover would be wise.has anybody any recommendations as her age seems to be a problem with comparison sites thanks alan
