  14. Thank you for the response, I would be happy to get together one Sunday, a ride out with Lunch somewhere, I saw a link to a Saltash group but I thought I was outside their Catchment area, but if you are Plymouth we could join the Saltash meetings if they still exist. I have had a few teething problems with my S Type, but the pleasure in driving it, out ways the problems. Regards to you Colin
  15. Hi is there anyone out There! All the posts are Three Years old, I live near St.Austell and drive an 11 year old S.Type 3Ltr SE, and wondered if anyone in Cornwall would be interested in the odd Friendly Meeting and Drive. I hear that this sort of thing goes on all over the Country but as yet I haven't found anything in Cornwall. Regards to all you Jaguar Owners and Jaguar Lovers. Colin
  16. Thanks Frank I will look into that, Regards Colin
  17. This is a problem which I have had before, which at the time was corrected using the advice given on this Site, which was to charge the Battery or if that didn't work. Fit new Battery. Charging the Battery worked every time. The problem reoccurred again this week, so rather than charge what was an 11 year old Battery, I had a New Battery fitted, this did nor cure the problem, But, after a long drive, the next day the problem was gone on my first drive of the day, yet an Hour Later on the return drive it had returned, so I charged the New Battery But, this also has not worked, after about 2 or 3 minutes the Amber warning light illuminates and ' Cruise not available' is displayed.
  18. I would like to tell you about a Great Independant in Cornwall, Greg Lummis has been a dedicated Jaguar Technician for over 20 years, and has rebuilt my damaged Jaguar S Type, with enthusiasm and Value. The Garage is :- G&D Motors, 82A, Kimberley Park Road, Falmouth, Cornwall, TR11 2DF. TEL:-01326 211117 Regards to you all, Colin
  19. Suddenly this evening driving with my normal temperature and auto settings, the temperature became unbearably HOT, I had to open the car windows to cope. The only unusual occurrence was my passenger connected to my Mobile Telephone Parrot device, with Bluetooth, then the Heating went wild, I am not sure this fact has any relevance but it was coincidental . Happy Christmas Friends, Colin 2004 S Type SE
  20. Hi Peter, here's an update on Cruise control. Firstly I charged up the battery, it showed fully charged and holding charge in about 20 minutes. Went on a test drive and my troubles were over! I thought. It engaged correctly and operated completely normally. But today as soon as I went out again the Fault had returned. 'cruise not available' so on returning I removed the positive connection on the Battery for 10 minutes as suggested, but that still hasn't cured it. I will try to recharge the Battery again tomorrow, as it is looking like I have a poor Battery, wouldn't you say. Al,the best my friend, Colin
  21. I have just charged the Battery so far, run the engine but not driven it to see if cruise works, I cannot try it out as I have a builder parked in front of garage, but I will look at DSC as well thanks, Regards , Colin
  22. Thanks Peter and Trevor I will try that today and let you know, sorry to be always needing Help! Regards Colin
  23. Completely out of the Blue while driving today, a yellow warning light came on with the message, :- CRUISE NOT AVAILABLE Does anyone know what can be done to sort this out, hopefully without waiting weeks foe an appointment at my Local Jaguar Garage. Once again I thank you in advance for your help and advice. Regards to all, Colin
  24. No relation Trevor, nand I bet you don't find your predicament at all amusing, hope these builders get their fingers out and you are once again back in 'Home Sweet Home' Regards, Colin
