  1. Happy Birthday Idol hands!

  2. Hi Ben. I love the wheels do you know what they are? Also what size 18's? Regards and welcome! Andy
  3. Loving the wheels! Suite the colour and shape beautifully
  4. Gentleman. I would like to replace the radiator grill as the current chrome one is a little tatty and I've sourced a new colour coordinated one. Looking at it it would appear to simply bolt to the bonnet? Am I being naive or is it really that straight forward to swap?? Regards Andy
  5. I'm tired of the missus constant ridicule over the factory fitted stereo complete with antique cassette player??? I'm planning a change. Firstly I'm presuming the new one would have to be a double din unit. I've heard various horror stories now of replacement units being deeper and not fitting or serious alterations having to be made? Primarily concerning heater parts at the rear? It's to go in a 51 x toe 3.0l. Before I blast money at something I need a little advice! Thanks in advance Andy
  6. Thanks very much for that. Would hate to waste nearly £900 on something I couldn't use!!
  7. Thanks chaps. Looks like it's all systems go!! I was more concerned that they wouldn't fit the car!, stud placement etc!! Thanks again Regards Andy
  8. Gents please could you help me before I buy some nice new wheels I want to cofirm they will fit. They are listed as jaguar libra R17's. The info says they will fit XF,S type and X type. The info is size - 17x7.5 5-108 et49 part number - 8X23 1007 AB The tyre size the seller says to fit is 225/45/R17. Hopefully they are going to fit as they look divine! Regards Andy
  9. I've decided to change the existing factory fitted stereo as it's a lively antique cassette player!!!! The missus finds it most amusing therefore it must go. The halfords cards will be lost handy as the new head unit is £350. Therefore £52 cheaper! That's the membership fee almost four times over. Absolute bonus!
  10. Hi gents. Quick question. I received my welcome pack. Stickers etc. the letter mentioned that inn using some of the discount codes I would need to prove to the company I was a member of the owners club, which leads me to believe there is some kind of owners club card? If that's the case I haven't received that. Although I have already received the halfords card which has been utilised twice now! Thanks in advance. Andy
  11. Thanks peter. I will probably go up to 17's. Now I need to decide which will look best on the car!! As far as tires go I'll get something fancy! No part worms or Chinese imitations!!! Regards Andy
  12. Thanks very much peter. Could have done with it today. Bought £80 worth of polish soap chamois etc!!!!! Will defo use it again soon!! Regards Andy
  13. I love the colour (titanium mica grey) coupled with smokey grey leather interior. The sensation of gliding in absolute luxury. The pull of the 3.0 litre engine and the beautiful butterfly inducing engine note as you ask the horses to race. The only thing I don't like is the antique stereo. But an easy change and the package is complete. I fell in love with her on the test drive and will fawn over her for many years to come.
  14. Hot on the heels of my battery warning light drama which seems to have been resolved at a reasonable cost, I have some pennies left therefore I've decided while the x type is delicious I would like to add a little bit of individuality to precedings. I'm fancying changing the wheels and rubber... Therefore my question is what size could I realistically apply? I was thinking 17 or maybe 18's. Although I've seen a few 19 inch monsters but would be concerned they may look a little bit "bling" I'm looking for stylish refinement. Not ostentatious bile inducing looks of horror! If I opt for 18's would these cause rubbing issues on the arches reduce or effect the turning circle etc?? And another problem is very few sellers show the particular wheel fitted to the vehicles in question therefore visualising the wheel on the car is a problem as it's all a bit late to discover they look abhorrent after parting company with close to a thousand pounds? Therefore are there any alloy wheel suppliers that have a option to apply the wheels to the car beforehand some fancy website maybe? I would also like to see the other owners club members after market wheels so if you have any pictures please may I see them!, Any advise warnings or general information is greatly appreciated!! Regards in advance Andy
