Having got rid of my first XF I tried a BMW 320M Sport but disliked the suspension and lack of comfort so I returned to a 2008 XF but this one is driving (pardon the pun) me mad.
The following error messages keep appearing;
DSC UNAVAILABLE ---LIMITED PERFORMANCE---HANDBRAKE NOT WORKING---SMART KEY NOT RECOGNISED---SMART KEY BATTERY LOW( new ones inserted).
The car has been back to Jaguar who did a diagnostic test revealing a number of errors and have reprogrammed the computer ,if that is the correct phrase.
I have now had the EGR valves replaced but the first two errors shown above have appeared again!!
I am now at my wits end with this car and wonder whether any other members have experienced similar problems and what is the solution?

I have owned a 58 plate XF for 18 months and have been delighted with the car with the exception of the electronics which continue to play up occasionally. For the first 3 months of ownership the car was almost impossible to lock on the plipper without the alarm going off and also starting was a problem intermittantly.One Jaguar garage claimed never to have seen the fault before although they claimed to have sorted it . Then after 3 months the car began to behave normally as if to accept me as the new owner (I know it sounds daft). Recently ,however , it has started repeating the problem ,both when locking and starting and I am beginning to lose faith in what otherwise is a superb car. Honest John referred to electronic problems on early models and I wonder whether any other owners have encountered this problem? Howard Jones
