  1. Hi I have the same problem with my 2.7 diesel, I have put it off the road as I thought gearbox was gone. I know the battery is ok but I do have an alternator problem and abs/dsc on dash as well, could this cause the gearbox fault? just wondering. thanks.
  2. you have to open the bonnet to change the blades, it gives you more room to lift the arms hope this helps.
  3. yes, you have to take the arms off then the valance/panel held on with torque screws and plastic clips on front, then there is 4 10mm bolts holding linkage, once you get that done getting it past the brake servo is a pain you just keep wriggling it off the middle pin then move it more to the nearside tilting it from bottom to top then disconnect the wiring plug. it dose go but is a pain. hope this helps.

      many thanks its being helpful already. this is the first s type I have had. have had x types before. got cheep due to electrical faults. should get them shorted.
