Hi Joe, I'm back after many attempts to fix my S Type. Took it to a dealer and they said it was the fuel pump. I replaced it, and still no joy. Even changed the throttle sensor. Buggers were not interested in me giving them the info you sent me. Back to square one. Could you help me figure out how to deal with the TACM to PCM failure. I'm handy but not that comfortable with electrics. Thanks again. Michael

Thanks Joe, I’ll go through the fuses. The relays are correct and I did disconnect the battery.

After pulling fuses and relays to find a parasitic drain ( which I haven’t found) the car is now in failsafe and won’t start. Code P1586 which I can’t clear. Does anyone have a way to clear the code. Much appreciated , thanks Mike.

2002 S Type security dash light flashing rapidly. No start until I turn on and off ignition several times. The light goes solid and off and then it will start. But now it suddenly stalls while driving and I have to go through the motions while stalled in traffic. What could it be? Thanks Mike

I did disconnect the battery for a few minutes and low and behold the car started after reconnection.

I recently purchased a 2002 SType. Owner only had a Valet Key with seperate fob. Worked fine for months. Today car will not start. Security light on the dash has continuous flash when trying to start. If it stops the car will start. But today it refuses, is there anything I can do to get it to start so I can drive for service. I have ordered a new key. Thanks. Mike
