Hi Tom, It's a 6 speed manual, had the dealer do a major service before I picked it up so am guessing the the inlet hoses were not refitted properly, going back next week to be sorted. Will be doing my own servicing from now on so am sure that I will have some questions. Cheers Riggs

Hi Tom, Thanks for the welcome, you are right a lot of the young drivers are way too easily distracted, I blame the IT revolution for the poor attention span. I am hoping that she admits fault and that the insurance company sees sense. Other than thatall is pretty good, I like the executive feel and got around 45 mpg on a quick trip up to Yorkshire at the weekend although I am going to have to have a word with the garage as the engine cover is rattling abut as they have managed to break one of the mounts off and the air inlet hoses on the air box have come adrift, looks like they may have got the apprentice to do some of the work bur never mind I am sure it is all sortable ay. Hi Everyone, Picked up the new Jag a couple of weekends ago, 2008 2.2 sovereign estate, what an improvement over my old Sport, handles just as well but far smoother and quieter with a more executive feel and look (Love the walnut panels). So just to prove life is a !Removed!, I had only had it for 5 days and was leaving work when a young lady in a Qashqai , apparently incapable of looking where she was going drove straight out from a line of parked cars in the car park and into the offside front wing, damage is wing and bumper (See Pic) what a bummer. Still should be sortable just hope I can convince insurance that it is her liability, am concerned that they will try the old 50 / 50 trick on me. will let you know Riggs

Thanks for the replies, viewed it again today and had a good look round it, dealer has agreed to 2 new tyres, rear bumpe re-paint and front stone chip repairs, a new mirror switch as the top cover is hanging off, a full major service and will sort out the wheel bearing all in the original price so all in all I am very happy with the deal. Pick it up next Monday, looking forward to it. Cheers Riggs

Thanks Frank, the dealer had a print out of the MOT history which had nothing to speak of, has been one of their MD's cars for the last 3 years so should have been well looked after and the price seems to be good for the spec and mileage. Hi All, Been hanging around for a while but not posted on Here so just saying hi to everyone and have a question. Am looking at a 2008 X Type 2.2 D Sovereign estate from a dealer with 50k on the clock and it has a noisy N/S front wheel bearing which they are going to change however the question is would this be normal on a 50k car. Rest of the car looks nice and clean with an asking price of £7500 would this be about right. Chers Riggs
