  1. It's the getting it back on that's done my head in! Bottom of my filter box is alarmingly full of crap
  2. Cheers for that, so before the man sensor then?
  3. this is going to sound so stupid ! As stated im getting rubbish mpg in my 2.7, down to 28 now, so i baught a tin of wyns egr cleaner. Where do i spray it? i noticed when opening the airbox it has to maf sensors, can i spay it before the maf sensors? the air filter was hanging ! really really bad, so ive changed that also, hoping to get the mpg up before i turn to the terraclean egr cleaning system !
  4. today i went southport to chorly, chorly to ormskirk the back to southport, my average is down to 31.2
  5. this is what i was looking for, now while i love terraclean im not so sure it was JUST terraclean used in these before and after photos ! http://pmmonline.co.uk/technical/egr-cleaning-%E2%80%93-comprehensive-guide
  6. nope, as stated above one for the fuels system and one for the egr vavle and intake. they also do one for the dpf (had that done on my vito) its a kind of foam, like shaving foam, it really really made a huge difference, dpf light went off and pressure returned to normal. the egr system looks good too. somehow, i think through the temp sensor port on the manifolds the egr cleaner is spreyed under pressure whit the car is running, its then left to sit, then ran again. Then an injector type device is put down the air intakes spraying the intake fluid, from what i have seen it works very well, also helping with the variable turbos.
  7. great ill have a word when he gets back, maybe we could get a sticky up? ill ask for the following services terraclean EGR clean system both systems combined
  8. Leaving blackpool i decided to come a different way home, so i jumped on the m55 and set cruise to 70mph all the way to just before tickled trout on the m6. i came off there went through preston and along a duel carriageway all the way to southport, then along the prom in southport to home and averaged 37.7mpg, about an hours worth of driving, i was still really really concentrating however. i did the tyres a couple of days ago to 32psi(18") and tracking and camber have all been recently done with printout
  9. the only place id take my jag (for terraclean) is weldbank garage in chorley, the won large garage of the year this year and also terraclean garrage of the year. If you use facebook look of WG tuning. they do many cars per day, tony the owner is simply awesome. If you want before and after readings done on the rolling road he will also do that. Hes away at the moment i called up before. im up for asking for a discounted rate for say 5 (?) cars ????? im from southport by the way
  10. i do like the look of the terraclean egr valve system, might give it a bash
  11. thanks again for the replies. is it a big job removing the egr valves? ive just done it on my vito sport x and it was one of them jobs i really wish i had not started !
  12. thanks for the replies, mine however is the non dpf modal - will it still have egr valves?
  13. hi everyone. I have just got myself a 2.7d s type 2005 with a full main dealer history and 106,000k on the clock. Its had 1 owner its whole life and is in great condition. It DOES have the dreaded type 1 lurch (only when hot and never when cold) i have read about but at only £2700 i thought it was cheap, also occasionally it "chirps" when changing gear??? i love the car, although it does have a slight squeak from one of the pullies and the front heated screen only works about 6 inches right down the middle ! i dio however find it extremely hard to hit the mpg many said they get. when i picked up the car it was showing 24mpg. I reset this for the jurny home and at a steady 70 on the motorway it still only returned 24 as a ave despite mainly reading in the 40s on the instant. I had it terra cleaned last week, im now getting circa 32mpg on a run on a roads, but that is REALLY REALLY trying. I have checked for sines of smoke when accelerating but all seems good, no plumes as you would expect if it was over fueling, so may i ask what mpg you guys get?
