  1. Gents, some time ago I read about a modification to the XK convertible roof control which allows a one click operation using the car's remote control. I think it was made by "Jag man" . Anyone know where I might find one? Ta!
  2. Had the roof fixed by the Hood Guys based in Kings Heath, Birmingham. Cracking service, took half an hour, didn't need an appointment and cost £36. Cheap at twice the price.
  3. Thanks for that. I've also found a company in Kings Heath, Birmingham that look ok. I'll keep you posted. F.
  4. Can anyone recommend a hood specialist in the English midlands? My 06 xk convertible has a problem with the hood frame, the action needs adjustment. Ta!
  5. My 4.2 '06 n/a is laid up for the winter. It doesn't leak oil when standing but when I start it up and move it I'm seeing a spoonful of oil on the garage floor, looks like engine oil. This has started to happen over the last year or so. I don't see a drop in the oil level on the dip stick when I run the car in the summer. The car has done 50k miles and drives really well. Is this leakage common and any ideas about where it comes from?
  6. My hood frame is out of alignment following a battery failure and manual closure. The drivers side of the frame of the hood meets the windscreen about 15mm before the passenger side. This results in a loud clunk as the clamping hook drops into the lock in the windscreen frame. Once home, everything works fine. I think there's some adjustment in the throw of the hood using a section of the frame just by the rear side window, with the hood half closed you can see a short threaded bar which looks like it screws in and out, giving adjustment. Is this the case? Thanks
