  3. hi guys, i have the dreaded battery drain, i have a 2007 s type xs 2.7d, its been fine for the eleven months ive owned the vehicle, but suddenly the battery was flat when i went to use the car, charged battery and started fine, left outside locked and armed that night and dead in the morning, thought the battey may have dead cell so purchased a new batterry which was fitted to the car fully charged and was dead within two hours!!! when i say dead i mean absolutely dead, nothing, no lights no ignition lights no power anywhere, had all electrics checked, all fuses pulled and monitored, and diagnostics plugged in and checked with nothing found, i now have to disconnect the battery after use, ( used every day) i forgot to disconnect yesterday, went out to disconnect an hour later but it was to late, it had drained the battery totaly, ive watched to see if anything becomes live after ive left it but nothing being reactivated that i can see, i am at a total loss as to what is going on as is the electricians, can anyone shed any light on this?

  5. no, you didnt send me on a wild goose chase p.d., but i think i might have a dodgy battery, since our little cold snap down south, ive had a gearbox foult light up, where it seems to be stuck in a gear, ( wont change up or down) but only just after start up, if i run for a short period and then switch off and start again, its fine, and when i did start again i had cruise control for a while!!
  6. hi guys, i have no cruise control, press the cruise button on the steering wheel but nothing happens, not even a message, any help would be well received, could it be a fuse, please let me know where to find it so i can replace it, chris.
  7. hi guys, just to let you know that a new disc has sorted the sat nav, many thanks for your suggestions, now have another problem, the cruise control isnt working, press the button but nothing happens, turn off traction and try it and the message comes up that its not available, so the car knows its there, ive been told it could be as simple as a small switch under the brake pedal? is this an easy replacement? or does it just need adjusting? yours chris.
  8. thanks paul, thats very kind of you, will try a few more things first and see what happens, dont need the sat nav at the moment but its there so it should be working, i`m sure you know how that feels!
