  1. Thanks for the welcome Jim and Peter. Yes the wait will be a long process for someone as impatient as me!! Little more on the spec. I have chosen. XF 2.0 diesel 180PS RWD auto R sport in Ultimate black metallic. jet / light oyster two tone leather wit light oyster roof lining. 19 inch diamond cut contrast alloys and privacy glass. options include, park assist pack, incontrol touch pro with 10 inch / 12.3 inch screens. meridian 380 watt audio. 10 way adjustable seats with memory and powerfold mirrors, electric adjustable steering column. configurable mood lighting. 40/20/40 rear seat...... The reviews I have read seem to be very good (challenger for class leader) but have to say first time I have ordered something without seeing it in an actual car (incontrol touch pro) as no XF's actually have it yet at the dealers. But hope it will work the same as the XJ which I was able to see working. This is one of the main reasons for switching from Mercedes and BMW, with their boring "I Drive" and "Command" systems that offer little in terms of display / tech. in my view. One thing I do have a gripe about is the marketing and "Build your car" sections of the Jaguar website for the new XF which is misleading on many fronts. For example, where infotainment system is concerned, this would have you believe that selecting incontrol pro includes rear entertainment, which it does not, and also I still have no clarification if the front dash screen will be dual view, (although this is not a deal breaker) When building your car there are many options that you can unknowingly add twice (together with adding unnecesary cost) as they are already included within other options already chosen. At no point does the web builder adjust costs or correct doubling up. Took many questions at the dealership to clarify what to spec. "Buyers beware" Otherwise waiting in anticipation of my first Jaguar.
  2. Was looking at deals myself and found a 12gb data sim only deal on "3" and the sim is valid for a year thought this would be a good option as no commitment and no necessity to top up monthly so when used up just buy another as would have no idea how much usage I might need in the car. As for wether it will work in a car not sure?
  3. Evening all, Ordered my first Jaguar (an XF) a week ago from main dealers in Kent. now have the long wait for it to be built to my specification delivery due in May so just saying hello for now
