  1. I took it back and they replaced the Pirelli tyres with Goodyear Eagles. They said it was Pirelli that recalled them.. Since changing the tyres, I have not had that knocking/rumbling noise but I can't work out why as the new tyres are the same size and spec. Still puzzled and a bit suspicious of the recall but at least I've got 4 new tyres and the problem solved.
  2. I'm now the proud owner of a 1 year old XF 2.2 (200bhp) Premium Luxury Sportbrake that I picked up a week ago. Yesterday, i got a call from the dealer (Lookers at Park Royal) informing me that my car was the subject of a recall as there was a problem with the tyres on certain models. He didn't elaborate and I didn't query it as I have to take it in on Monday to have 4 new tyres fitted which sounds like a right result to me. Has anyone else had theirs recalled? The reason I ask is that it seems a a coincidence that the day before i got the call, the salesman rang me to see how i was getting on with my new Jag. I told him I was pleased but concerned that I experience a knocking/juddering from the front wheels when i turn right off my drive every morning. It only happens when it's cold and by the next turn, it doesn't happen again. As I have a gravel drive, I thought it might be stones stuck in the tread that was causing it but looking at other forums, others have the same problem. Some blame the cause on the Air suspension or tyres or bushes etc etc. So, is this a genuine recall that will solve the problem or will i have 4 new tyres and still have to take it back after?
