Hi Ive just joined the jag owners club, im on my second Xtype the first i bought brand new 2002 2.5AWD loved it although wouldnt go past a petrol station, Unfortunatly it went with the ex house and shirt of my back! Ive now got a 2007 2lt diesel and love it going up north last year with five adults on board it retuned just shy of 50mpg . I agree with other comments about giving the xtype fair chance because they are a great car. However if you do sell it and manage to find a second hand car that is without any faults and totally reliable can you let me know what you buy! Other than that, keep it quite because if you do find such a car and the word gets out , car sales of all other cars will stop, garages up and down the country will close as they will no longer be needed and we will all be driving the same boring car

Hi Ive just joined the owners club, ive got a 2007 2lt diesel that ive managed to blown the engine on, ive bought a donor car that had a rear end shunt so im going to swap the complete engine and gear box. The haynes manual states to drop the engine out the bottom, but im thinking for me to do it on the drive it may be easier to hoist it out the top, does anyone know if it will actually come out of the top on not?
