  1. Hi, people. My year 2000 v6 s type is again giving me problems, sometimes I cant get into it and sometimes It wont let me out. Believe its the automatic locking and I have heard that this can be disconnected, is this an easy fix and could I do it myself bearing in mind I'm not to good with cars, and I have arthritic hands. Could anyone give me some basic instruction on how to do this if possible so I could maybe pass the information on to someone more able. Thanks in advance....
  2. yes mate the D lights up, just wont engage ?
  3. Thanks Joe, Is this cable easy to get to and adjust by hand, do you know.
  4. Hi Chaps, My V6 S type year 2000 wont engage into drive ! if I push gear knob over to 4th and back into drive it then engages, whats wrong ? I suppose I could live with i,t if no further damage occurs due to this method of getting her going. Thanks in advance. Rod Lock.
  5. Hi Claws, have put a dab of chemical metal over the holes, as a temporary fix until I can get a new rad fitted and it seems to be holding up alright for now, again thanks for your help and advice. cheers Rodney.
  6. Thanks very much Claws, I do appreciate your help, I will let you know how things go... Cheers for now.
  7. Yes claws, she is a 3 litre auto v6, waiting for some online quotes to come through, but would appreciate some sort of quide
  8. Thanks again Claws, any ideas on the costs of replacement rad, I wonder, what happened to you and yours ???
  9. Thanks Claws, Got her up to running Temp and found a couple of fine jets of water spraying from a couple of fins on the rad, don't suppose you'd recommend a rad seal as a cheap fix, if so does it go into the header tank ??????
  10. Hi, I'm new to this group. Got to say I love old Jag's, my first was 1967 420, I have fond memories of her, not had one for many years until a couple of years ago. I bought a 2000 V6 S Type, I dont drive much now so she has been good to me so far. Now I need a little advice. I'm losing coolant, as I'm having to top up the expansion tank far to often, engine appears to be running at normal temp when the level is low but the heater does not produce heat when the expansion tank needs topping up, any advice would be welcome, also anyone know of a good and fair Jag specialist in the Chichester area ? thanks in advance.
